after riding the shuttle from Pearl Harbor, we visited the Battleship Missouri. There was an above-deck docent tour that showed us several things, including the spot where the treat was signed. After… Full review by 348emilyl

Listen to crew comments would be my take on this and best tip. They’ll charge $37 for the “free pic” they ask you to pose for before boarding simply to help with boat costs Anyway post tour found it … Full review by jedermangy

Booked general admission and Captain’s Tour tickets on the official website because we wanted confirmation of the time we could get into the Captain’s Tour. To get to the Missouri, you have to take … Full review by Puzzlemama
A group of us are doing the captain's tour of the Battleship Missouri Memorial and two of my friends are worried that they won't be able to do it as they are overweight and the tour states tight doorways and steep, narrow steps. Does anyone know if there is a weight requirement to do the captain's tour? Would it be better if they did the self guided tour instead?

Aloha, thank you for booking the Captain's Tour on board the historic USS Missouri. We do not have any weight limitations for the tour, but understanding the physical constraints involved are important. There are some narrow hatches that guests have to navigate to see parts of the ship. The entry to Gun Turret one is 15" x 30" with a steep narrow ladder. Other doorways are 25.5" x 53" and 24" wide. We hope that helps. Feel free to call us with more questions.
My dad was on the Missouri when the treaty was signed between the USA and Japan ending WWII in the Pacific. Are there any ways I can look up my dad's name of being on the ship and what his dutoes were at that time?
A:
Honestly I can’t remember. The ship is enormous and there were so many displays and signs. I wish I could help. You might try googling and see if you can find out.
Several people have said that they would not recommend touring independently and that you should go through a tour company. If we are not worried about transportation to Pearl Harbor and want to be on our own schedule, is it really that hard to do on our own. (I will already have the USS Arizona tickets.)

I prefer a self guided tour, which allows me the prerogative of going at my own pace; stopping longer here to take pictures, omitting or quickly moving through this part, etc. The problem with going to the Battleship was the bus schedule, which you have to take, since they don't allow personally owned vehicles on the base,(unless you ARE military and have credentials, I believe). We bought the Go Oahu card, which saved us a ton of money, and did all three at the Nat'l Park; the USS Arizona, the Battleship Missouri, and the Bowfin Submarine. In fact, I don't think I saw one tour the whole time we were there. There are volunteers on hand ( former Navy personnel) to give talks and answer questions, and who provide history. Catch the shuttle bus and take the 5 minute ride over from the Arizona.

Greetings - suggest going on-line portal to purchase in advance. Normally people go first to the USS Arizona (again buy tickets in advance to secure given group size). From the USS Arizona parking lot a bus takes you over to Ford Island to access the USS Missouri and the air museum at the center of Ford Island. if you do a web search of "ticket purchase USS Missouri and USS Arizona" you can see advanced ticket purchase portals. Rough time at each location... ~ 2 hours total at the USS Arizona (wait + boat trip in/out), 2 hours at the USS Missouri and 1 hour at the museum Hope this helps...
Hi, I am trying to figure if we can visit the Battleship and the Bow Fin Submarine. Is it possible to walk between both attractions across a bridge or are there free shuttle busses? We are already paying uber fare to get to the AZ Memorial, so we are hoping we can visit both the Battleship and Submarine without additional cost, other than the tickets. Our trip is in August, thanks.

The USS Bowfin (submarine) is at Pearl Harbor and very cool to walk through! They have a shuttle that you have to take in order to go to the USS Missouri (battleship) and again, very cool to walk though. You can’t drive there on your own. Both have separate fees to get in. We went in March and they are only open certain days, but that may change by August.
