There are steps (with no hand rail) and it is a steep incline so would only recommend for those who are physically fit and able to complete a moderately difficult walk. It is not suitable for those in a wheelchair or with a pushchair. The paths from the North Yorkshire Moors Centre at Sutton Bank however are paved and less steep and it also has some great views. There are two walks recommended from the car park at 1 hour and 3 hours long.
