Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta has become Delhi's fourth woman CM as well as the fourth BJP leader to hold the post. So far, none of the previous CMs from the BJP have completed a full term in office.

Former Delhi chief minister Atishi on Thursday said the new BJP government led by Rekha Gupta should provide Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance to every woman in the national capital, a promise the saffron party made in the run-up to the February 5 assembly elections.

Highlighting how the Bharatiya Janata Party has formed the government in the national capital after more than 20 years, the Chief Ministers of various states ruled by the party lauded the national capital getting their fourth woman CM on Thursday.
