Boost Mobiles continued investment in its network makes it clear that the carrier intends to drop its previous identity as a value-focused MVNO. Boost Mobiles 5G network now covers 70% of the population with its cloud-native O-RAN 5G network. Coverage improves to around 99% of the US population when you include its partner coverage.

Boost Mobile has stepped out of the shadow of the big carriers and officially upgraded from an MVNO to a full carrier, with its 5G network now covering a large chunk of the U.S.

Boost Mobile has just announced that it’s on track to become a full-fledged carrier by the end of the year. Currently, the MVNO covers more than 70 percent of the US population with its 5G network, but Boost said it would cover 80 percent by the end of the year.
