Coca-Cola Co. has decided to discontinue its recently launched flavor, Coca-Cola Spiced, after just over seven months on the market. The Atlanta-based beverage giant announced the decision on Wednesday, revealing that both Coca-Cola Spiced and Coca-Cola Spiced Zero Sugar will be phased out.

Coca-Cola announced that it is discontinuing its Coca-Cola Spiced and Coca-Cola Spiced Zero Sugar just seven months after it was introduced. “We have made the decision to remove Coca-Cola Spiced from retail stores by the end of 2024,” Coca-Cola wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Launched just six months ago to meet younger consumers' preferences for spicier products, the raspberry-flavored cola is being discontinued--yet it still outlasted 1985's notorious New Coke.

Coca-Cola was reported to be pulling Coca-Cola Spiced, a drink aimed at younger drinkers from the market seven months after it was released.

After a dose of online speculation, the company confirmed to TODAY.com on Sept. 24 that it would be discontinuing Coca-Cola Spiced — the flavor that made its debut earlier this year. The soda, which combined raspberry and a “blend of warm spiced flavors,” is one of a few on the brand’s slate that folks online have seen disappear from store shelves.

They have found success however with brand partnerships with other legacy brands and with celebrity endorsements. Coca-Cola has released limited-edition flavors as twists on its regular formulas. Recent ones include Coca-Cola Oreo and Coca-Cola Marshmello — a collaboration with Grammy-nominated artist Marshmello, which flew off the shelves.
