The Patriots will host the Houston Texans next week, and it would be a tough ask for Maye to start against one of the best teams in the AFC, but it will be interesting to see if Mayo makes a move to his rookie quarterback at some point in the upcoming games.

The Patriots wanted to sit and develop Maye. But after a disastrous start, it's time to bench Jacoby Brissett and go with the rookie.

Through three games, the Patriots are allowing 10 quarterback hits per game. Brissett has felt pressure on roughly half the time he drops back to pass. Over his 10 dropbacks last week, Maye took two sacks and got smashed two other times.
