British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will tell the British public that there is "light at the end of the tunnel" but that a "shared struggle" through short term pressures will have to be endured.

Keir Starmer will continue the doom and gloom in his Labour Conference speech today as he warns the future "will be hard". The Prime Minister will say in his speech at the conference in Liverpool that things "will be tough in the short-term" and that the country needs a "shared struggle".

Sir Keir’s Labour conference speech is scheduled to take place from about 2pm on Tuesday 24 September. The main event on the programme, it will be delivered in ACC Liverpool’s Conference Hall and marks the first time in 15 years that a sitting Labour Prime Minister will address their party’s conference.
