Another chapter in Liverpool's changing story came to an emotional end this week as Luis Diaz officially sealed a move to Bayern Munich. The Colombian forward left Anfield for a reported £65.5 million, closing a successful spell that saw him lift a Premier League title and light up the wing alongside Mohamed Salah.

Luis Diaz have opened up on the role Florian Wirtz had in his decision to leave Liverpool, a career move he admits he is “glad” to make. The Colombian winger bid farewell after three-and-a-half seasons on Merseyside, signing for German champions Bayern Munich for a fee of £65.5m.

Liverpool are keen to use the funds raised through Díaz’s sale to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, but an opening bid worth over £110 million ($145.4 million) was swiftly rejected by the Magpies on Friday and it remains to be seen whether they will table a second offer.
