Maple Leafs have a new problem this season: They can’t score
TORONTO — No team in the NHL scored more five-on-five goals than the Maple Leafs last season. In fact, no team over the previous four seasons scored more five-on-five goals than the Leafs. They had 25 goals more than the next closest team ( Colorado) and 42 more than the team after that ( Florida ).
Ullmark makes 27 saves, Senators shut out Maple Leafs
TORONTO -- Linus Ullmark made 26 saves for the Ottawa Senators in a 3-0 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday. The shutout was Ullmark's ninth in the NHL and his first since being acquired from the Boston Bruins on June 24.
