The multitrillion-dollar tax cut and spending bill now heads to the Senate, where Republicans have vowed to make changes.

The bill, passed by a single-vote margin, would fulfill many of Trump's populist campaign pledges. All of the chamber's Democrats and two Republicans voted against it. One Republican missed the vote because he had fallen asleep.

The House of Representatives passed a massive tax and spending bill early this morning by one vote, moving a key part of President Donald Trump’s agenda forward. The vote as 215-214, with two Republicans joining all Democrats in opposition.
