Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has lashed out on social media over criticism of her decision to vote against an amendment to block US funding for Israel's Iron Dome.

( JTA) — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a left-wing New York Democrat, drew criticism from her base after voting to oppose an amendment that would have cut funding to Israel’s aerial defense system — even as she voted against the overall bill the funding was included in.

Cortez’s Bronx campaign office was defaced with red paint and a message citing the war in Gaza. The police are investigating.
