Former Laker Anthony Davis will be sidelined at least a month because of a strained left abductor he sustained in his debut with the Dallas Mavericks.

But during his introductory press conference following the trade, Anthony Davis had a message for Mavericks fans, as per ClutchPoints’ own Joey Mistretta, that will no doubt fire them up for the remainder of the regular season. “I’m gonna give [the city] life back,” Davis declared to assembled media.

Davis was dealing with an adductor injury while with the Lakers and had missed the last few games before being traded. Some fans were worried that the Mavericks were rushing him back in order to get him on the court in Dallas, and it ended up hurting them in the end.
