Say cheese! Roblox now verifying user age with facial recognition
Popular social game platform Roblox has begun its voluntary age checks for players using in-game chat features. The change brings age-based communications to the platform, allowing players to communicate only with users within their age group.
Three states have so far filed lawsuits against the hugely popular online gaming platform Roblox, alleging it has not done enough to protect children from predators.
Users will be required to scan their faces to use the popular gaming platform. Scans will be used to guess a user’s age.

It comes at a time when the online gaming giant faces several lawsuits and growing calls to be included in Australia’s social media ban.
