National Weather Service meteorologists are warning of a severe storm expected to hit several states on Friday night.

Looking at the forecast for Columbus specifically, NWS Wilmington predicts the city will see rain showers with thunderstorms possible after 5 p.m. Saturday. The high will be near 75. It will be breezy with wind gusts as high as 32 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%. Between a quarter and half of an inch of rain is possible.
