Acura will revive its RSX nameplate later this year for an electric crossover, the automaker has confirmed.

Acura showed a camouflaged but anatomically correct photo of its coming RSX electric vehicle, a crossover SUV that will begin production by year's end. The Acura RSX will arrive ahead of the Honda Saloon and SUV concepts shown at CES last week.

Acura has already confirmed that the new performance SUV will be the first EV built on Honda's latest proprietary electric platform, and that it will be built at the company's "EV Hub" in Ohio. Additionally, the brand announced today that the RSX will debut the new ASIMO OS system shown in two Honda 0 concepts at CES last week.

The new RSX will slot right under the existing ZDX electric vehicle in size, and it will be the first EV to be designed by Honda and built at the new Honda EV Hub in Ohio.

Acura is bringing back the RSX name, but not as a performance-oriented sport compact coupe. Instead, it's an all-electric crossover based on the Acura Performance EV Concept shown at Monterey last year.

"The nameplate pays homage to the Acura RSX with its coupe-like silhouette, but it truly represents a forward-looking approach to fun-to-drive performance. Our second all-electric SUV will solidify our EV credentials even as its ICE stablemates, the all-new ADX, RDX, MDX, TLX and Integra continue to attract new buyers to the Acura brand."

The new RSX will be the first car to be built on Honda’s all-new EV-specific platform. Sales of the Acura RSX are expected to commence in early 2026. Hot on the heels of the company’s retro-name revival that has already included the likes of the Integra and the Honda Prelude,
