Paul George has been unable to find consistency as a shooter during his first season with the Sixers. A 5-for-18 line in Monday night's loss only made matters worse.

Because of injuries to both players, the two All-Stars have played together in only 12 of the Sixers’ 33 games. On Saturday, Embiid finished with game highs of 28 points and 12 rebounds in just three quarters of action. George, who also sat out the fourth quarter, added 17 points, six assists, and two steals.

Durant kicked off the scoring with a three-pointer … and the Sixers then hit the Suns with a 14-0 run. Maxey and Guerschon Yabusele drained threes, Oubre and Yabusele threw down dunks, and the Sixers had their way on both ends.

George then took 16 shots in Monday's win over the Spurs and scored 19 points. That is the production the Sixers are looking for from the 9-time All-Star. The focus on the offensive end will remain on Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, so Philadelphia will be looking to George to be more of a connector for this group at times.

To Nurse's point, the Sixers were having a ton of success running the two-man game with Tyrese Maxey and Embiid. It was important for Philadelphia to run things on that end to a T meaning it was on Embiid and Maxey to lead the way. The Jazz tried to help, but they couldn't leave George too often.
