"A parade of planets, also sometimes referred to as a planetary alignment, is when several planets in our solar system appear to line up in the sky from our perspective here on Earth," John Conafay, CEO of Integrate Space, tells TODAY.com.

According to NASA, the planets involved in this alignment are Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. You don't need a telescope to see most of them!

The BBC reports that the six planets are already visible in the night sky, with one more bonus planet (Mercury) joining the six in late February. As always, there is a caveat and you'll need a clear night sky to properly see the planetary parade, so it's best to escape the city lights and get out into the countryside.
