Just after various late-night hosts made it clear where they stand on the issue of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert being cancelled, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission weighed in with his own — quite different — opinion.

First up: Steve Allen. Allen was the first host of NBC's "The Tonight Show," originally titled "Tonight," and served in that role from 1954 to 1957.

But they’re also platforms for which you can create content at a cost of less than $100 million a year, which was the budget for Colbert’s show.
