The Sixers traveled to Boston to face the defending champions, who were short-handed on the second night of a back-to-back. With Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard available, the Celtics had more than enough to easily handle a Sixers team missing Tyrese Maxey (back) and Paul George (groin) on top of Joel Embiid and many other critical pieces.
Jayson Tatum had 35 points to lead Boston, Payton Pritchard added 19, and rookie Baylor Scheierman scored a career-high 15.

They give the Celtics a "B" grade as they head into the final quarter of the season despite the fact that they have won eight of their last ten games.
After letting go of two way rookie big man Anton Watson last week, the Boston Celtics elected to bring on Memphis Hustle (the G League squad for the Memphis Grizzlies) sharpshooting big man Miles Norris as their new prospect for that two way contract slot on the Celtics' 18-man roster.
Payton Pritchard also chipped in with 19 points off the bench in the victory while Baylor Scheierman had the best game of his NBA career, posting a career-high 15 points in 30 minutes. Kelly Oubre Jr. had a team-high 27 points for the 76ers in the setback for a tanking Philadelphia squad that has now lost 12 of their last 13 games.
Celtics forward Anton Watson has gone from Boston to New York during his rookie season after being waived by the Celtics earlier this week.
