MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - Someone bought a Powerball ticket in Vermont that is now worth $1 million. The ticket was sold at Glover’s Family Market and Deli in Newport Center. It matched five of the numbers in Saturday night’s drawing but missed matching the Powerball number for the jackpot.
The Vermont Lottery announced that a minor jackpot-winning ticket worth a cool $1 million was sold in Newport Center. The lucky shop that sold the ticket was Glover's Family Market and Deli, according to the Vermont Lottery. The ticket was for the Saturday, Feb. 22 drawing. The winning numbers were 7-18-22-50-65.
