Star tennis player Elena Rybakina has registered her 50th Grand Slam match win at the Australian Open. She easily brushed aside her second-round opponent Iva Jovic on Thursday (January 16). The 2022 Wimbledon champion took only 80 minutes to register a comprehensive victory over Jovic with a scoreline of 6-0, 6-3.

Australian Open history was made at Melbourne Park on Saturday, as lucky loser Eva Lys beat Jaqueline Cristian. Lys hit back to beat world number 82 Cristian 4-6 6-3 6-3. In the process, she became the first lucky loser to reach the fourth round of the women's singles draw at the Australian Open.

The No. 6 seed missed multiple break points to seize the advantage in the third set and Keys profited to move into the quarterfinals.
