MSU (17-6, 5-5 SEC) dominated down low with 46 points in the paint to Georgia’s 28. Josh Hubbard, who eclipsed 1,000 career points in the win, led the team with 16 points followed by KeShawn Murphy at 14.

STARKVILLE — An illness is running through Mississippi State basketball right now. It has forced some players to miss practice this week, coach Chris Jans revealed on Thursday. He initially referred to it as “the crud” but later confirmed it as an illness. Jans did not specify which players sat out of practice.
