Andrew Lester, the man accused of shooting Ralph Yarl, a Kansas City teen in 2023, will take a plea deal in a last-minute hearing on Friday.

A carjacking suspect and KCMO police officers exchanged gunfire Wednesday afternoon. Police arrested the suspect after a car chase across downtown on Interstate 70.

No one was injured after officers exchanged gunfire with the carjacking suspect near 9th Street and Van Brunt Avenue.
