October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time where awareness is heightened and funds are raised for research to find a cure for the disease.

In the first year of the pink bins program, Sherman ordered around 300 bins and raised over $17,000 for Women Rock, a local breast cancer nonprofit. “They’ve done things for people in my family before, and that’s really helped them out a lot,” Holland said, “I felt like this would be the ideal project for us and them.”

At Sunday's Patriots game, fans will have the chance to stop by a pink lemonade stand and contribute to breast cancer research.
