The National Weather Service out of Austin in its Saturday morning forecaster's discussion noted that "rounds of showers and isolated thunderstorms" are likely through the evening for much of the Central Texas region,

Camp Mystic, a 99-year-old Christian summer camp for girls in Texas Hill Country, was hosting 750 children this week when catastrophic flooding struck the Guadalupe River early Friday, leaving at least 20 children missing.

The camper, 9-year-old Janie Hunt, is one of the first of the missing campers to be located and identified publicly. Flooding in the central Texas country claimed the lives of 27 people, including nine children, and injured eight, prompting a slew of flash flood warnings for parts of the state on Saturday morning.
