Clemson football got back on track Saturday with a 59-35 victory over NC State, and junior receiver Adam Randall was a catalyst for the Tigers’ offense. Randall hauled in five catches for a career-high 69 yards and a touchdown to lead Clemson’s receiving corps.

Defensively, the Tigers stifled NC State freshman quarterback CJ Bailey. They sent blitzes that generated sacks and forced three turnovers (two fumbles, one interception). With Woods out, the Tigers needed someone to step up. They found that production with T.J. Parker, who was tied for the most sacks on the team last year.

Reports of the Clemson Tigers' demise have been exaggerated. Never mind that said demise came from many of the same people who called the proverbial time of death on Swinney and Clemson football like a scene from some long-forgotten soap opera.
