Originally scheduled for 20th July, the highly anticipated bout was delayed as Tyson had to pull out due to a medical emergency. Tyson had then developed an ulcer flare up and was recommended by doctors to engage in minimal to light training over the next few weeks before returning to training in full throttle.

This is first time Mike Tyson is returning to the ring since 2005 when he initially retired following a loss to Kevin Mcbride.
