Authorities say the San Gabriel Canyon Bridge Fire, which burned more than 1,000 acres and prompted evacuations, was “extremely active” overnight and remains at 0% containment. It was first reported just after 2 p.

Firefighters responded to the Bridge fire in the area of East Fork Road near Glendora Mountain Road in San Gabriel Canyon, the Angeles National Forest said on social media around 2:16 p.m. Visitors were evacuated from the forest above the Glendora area as crews called a second-alarm response.

The fire was reported around 3 p.m. Sunday near the area of East Fork and Glendora Mountain roads, according to the Angeles National Forest.
