Apple (AAPL) said Siri user data is not being sold for marketing purposes after settling a proposed class action lawsuit accusing the voice assistant of eavesdropping on iPhone and other Apple device users.

Apple has agreed to pay $95 million to settle a lawsuit accusing the privacy-minded company of deploying its virtual assistant Siri to eavesdrop on people using its iPhone and other trendy devices.

The company's virtual assistant allegedly recorded plaintiffs who hadn't said "hey Siri" while they were in their bedrooms and speaking with their doctors.
