Areas north of Houston and Harris County are under a tornado watch through 6 p.m. Sunday as a powerful cold front slices through Southeast Texas.

As a coast-to-coast winter storm slices across the U.S. Sunday and Monday, severe thunderstorms are expected to fire up across portions of the South on the warm side of the storm system.

Suspected tornadoes were spotted and caught on videos in Texas as storms battered parts of the South Saturday. A tornado is believed to have killed at least one person and left four people injured in Brazoria County,
