The robot spider is called mCLARI, short for “mini compliant legged articulated robot insect.” From above, it simply looks like a thin black ring with four copper power tether connectors attached.

The little spider-bots also have 360-degree vision thanks to an array of very spidey-like camera eyes. In Tmsuk’s video below, the tiny machines are in action.
