According to the report, it marks the largest layoff in the history of the organization — Massachusetts’ largest private employer. Mass General Brigham declined to provide the amount of employees affected, but plans to save at least $200 million annually as a result, according to the report.

A "limited number" of management and administrative positions will be eliminated or consolidated, Mass General Brigham said.
