Ryan Preece is becoming quite used to flying down the backstretch at Daytona International Speedway. After taking a terrifying tumble at Daytona in August of 2023, Preece flipped at the "World Center of Racing" again in Sunday's Daytona 500 in a big crash on lap 196.

Ryan Preece's crash Sunday was the latest in an uptick of cars flipping after wrecks and the second such incident for Preece in two years.

With four laps to go in the Daytona 500, Ryan Preece found himself in another violent wreck on the backstretch, flipping his car. Preece infamously had a wreck at Daytona in 2023 that led to the track replacing the grass on the backstretch with pavement.

Preece was referring to the wreck he endured on Sunday at Daytona International Speedway: the one where he was knocked in the side by an out-of-control Christopher Bell, into Erik Jones, and up into the air at 190-plus miles per hour — floating and flipping upside down until he crashed into the wall, almost into the fence.
