Friday night’s temperatures will drop below freezing in areas where skies are clear, mostly for folks along and north of Interstate 20. The D-FW area will go from 37 degrees during the day Friday to 27 degrees Friday night. Rain chances will start to move south, to Central Texas.

The extreme cold warning for North Texas continues Thursday, Feb. 20, as the region experiences freezing temperatures and wind chills ranging from the single digits to the teens, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
