High winds on President’s Day are ushering in cold temperatures and the potential for mid-week snow as the Wind Advisory issued Sunday evening remains in effect until 6 p.m.

While rain pours down over New York City a majority of the day Sunday, temperatures will climb to the highest residents see this week: 50 degrees. On the other hand, winds could reach up to 40 mph, spurring a two-day wind advisory. AccuWeather predicts that there could be “localized power outages” in addition to traffic delays.
