The United States Coast Guard has suspended the search for a missing fisherman after a vessel with four people on it capsized in 7-foot swells off the coast of Oregon.

The Coast Guard has suspended its search for a missing fisherman after a vessel capsized near Newport, Oregon, on Monday morning. The 40-foot fishing vessel Das Bug, with four people onboard, capsized while transiting inbound through the Yaquina Bay Jetty on Sunday afternoon.

The Coast Guard added that a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Yaquina Bay rescued three crew members from the water. They were later taken to a hospital and treated for hypothermia. Meanwhile, authorities searched by boat and helicopter for the fourth missing person on Sunday evening.
