The future of the Connecticut Sun is unclear with reports swirling that the team is nearing a sale for $325 million to Steve Pagliuca, a minority owner of the Celtics who plans to move the team to Boston.

Connecticut Sun president Jennifer Rizzotti told reporters on Sunday that the team would remain in its current home of the Mohegan Sun Arena through at least the 2026 season, amidst reports that Boston Celtics' minority governor Steve Pagliuca was leading an ownership group that planned to buy the franchise and move it to Boston.

The Connecticut Sun could soon rise over Boston if a purported deal goes through, but Gov. Dan McKee isn’t ready to walk off the court just yet when it comes to potentially hosting the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team.
