ODST is still a shooter, though, and basically more of what you loved about Halo 3. The tweaks to the series are slight in this case, and for the most part, they work.
Halo 3: ODST is my favorite installment of the Halo saga thus far. It explores the Halo universe from an everyman's point of view, albeit an everyman who's also an elite warrior.
