Karen Read's lawyers say the O’Keefes don't have a case for negligent infliction of emotional distress as part of their wrongful death suit.

The case against Karen Read and two businesses that served her alcohol the night of her boyfriend's death continues in Plymouth Superior Court.

In a motion filed on Tuesday, Read seeks to dismiss four counts of the civil lawsuit by O’Keefe’s family that claim emotional distress inflicted on O’Keefe’s parents, Margaret O’Keefe and John O’Keefe II, his brother, Paul O’Keefe, and O’Keefe’s niece, Kayley Furbush.
