National Weather Service meteorologists say the worst of Hurricane Helene's remnants will arrive in the area starting Thursday night.

Hurricane Helene will make landfall along the Florida panhandle on Thursday, then race north toward the Ohio Valley. Although Helene will weaken as it moves inland toward the Louisville area, it will still remain strong in terms of impacts. Louisville will begin to see some light rain late on Thursday before it picks up in intensity Thursday night.
