The Orlando Magic didn’t complete a blockbuster deal on Thursday, but they did sign a two-time NBA Slam Dunk champion and G League MVP.

The 6’2” McClung played and started in 27 games last season with the Osceola Magic of the NBA G League, averaging a league-leading 25.7 points, 6.6 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.26 steals in 35.4 minutes per game. He shot an impressive 50.9% from the field, 39.6% from three-point range, and 84.3% from the free throw line.

Of the three guards, reigning G League MVP Mac McClung seems primed to earn one of the Magic’s two remaining two-way contracts in camp.

The Orlando Magic have signed Mac McClung to a partially guaranteed contract, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania. A two-time Slam Dunk Contest winner, McClung went undrafted in 2021 after playing three seasons for Georgetown and Texas Tech.
