James McArthur described his short time working for the luxury department store in 2008 as 'most unpleasant' but was not aware of any alleged sexual abuse occurring

Multiple former employees told the BBC they had been raped or sexually assaulted by the billionaire businessman, who died last year.

Alice, not her real name, said she received a phone call from Fayed’s head of security after, in 1995, he found out she had spoken to a journalist about their boss’s behaviour. She says she was 16 years old when Fayed sexually assaulted her.

London department store Harrods says it is “a very different organisation” to the one owned and controlled by Al Fayed between 1985 and 2010.

One former employee tells the BBC a manager, who still works at the store, failed to investigate when she complained.
