Liverpool continue to be linked with Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi after a move for the midfielder broke down over the summer

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has urged the Reds to make a fresh move to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi in January. Zubimendi rejected the chance to move to Anfield last summer despite Arne Slot's side agreeing to pay his £51million release clause after impressing at the Euro 2024 with Spain.

However, Zubimendi rejected a move to Liverpool in favour of staying at boyhood club Real Sociedad, and he has since denied rumours suggesting that he now regrets turning down a switch to Anfield.
