JEFFERSON — Eastern Court Judge Harold E. Specht recently announced his candidacy for the County Common Pleas Court Judge seat that will be vacated by Judge David A. Schroeder at the end of 2026.

At least 15 fires have burned more than 216,000 acres across Delta, Dolores, Garfield, Grand, Mesa, Moffat, Montrose, and Rio Blanco counties, as well as in parts of eastern Utah.
