Manchester City midfielder Rodri will have further tests on the knee injury that looks set to rule him out for an extended period of time. Rodri travelled to Spain yesterday for initial tests on the injury sustained in the early stages of City 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday.

In the case of Manchester City star Rodri, the soccer world may come to appreciate the Spanish international even more during his lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The stats say that Manchester City win 2.36 points-per-game with Rodri in the side and 2.04 without him. With 13 points already in the bag this campaign, if Rodri misses the rest of the season at the same points-per-game rate then City will finish on 80 points rather than the 91 they would win with him in the team.
