WWE legend John Cena indicated Tuesday that it was not his call for Brock Lesnar to return and attack him at SummerSlam on Sunday night.

Brock Lesnar’s surprise comeback at SummerSlam stunned WWE fans and disrupted John Cena’s emotional farewell tour. The return sets the stage for a final clash between two of wrestling’s biggest stars.

The bigger story is why Lesnar came back. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, during the SummerSlam post-show, hinted that Cena himself wanted it. He called it part of Cena’s “wish list” for his farewell run. Triple H didn’t name Lesnar, but it was pretty clear.
