Cam Ward led a touchdown drive in his preseason debut, a 29-7 Titans loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Aug. 9 at Raymond James Stadium. Ward was 5-for-8 for 67 yards, with all the completions coming in the second drive (following an opening drive three-and-out). Tennessee scored on the drive via a Tony Pollard 1-yard touchdown run.

The first overall pick in this year's NFL draft completed five of eight passes for 67 yards, but more importantly was composed and looked comfortable running Tennessee's offense in the Titans' 29-7 preseason-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday night.

Tony Pollard ran well, as did Tyjae Spears, until he went down with an injury. Spears was carted back to the locker room, leaving the rest of us with furrowed brows, wondering just how bad it was. It was finally reported last night that Spears suffered a high ankle sprain.
