Have caught some, but don't seem to be as effective for me as the craw. And like any other bait, later in the day seems better.

I have tried 40 and 50 lb (Power Pro Super Slick, Smackdown, Sunline BX2). I haven't tried Sunline FX2 Froggin' and Flippin'.
