The Center offers specially designed in-person tours on Thursdays at 2 pm that allow the visitor to view the exhibitions of four of our distinguished partners, American Jewish Historical Society, American Sephardi Federation, Leo Baeck Institute and YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.

Narrating the bulk of modern Jewish history, the collections encompass archival documents, volumes, and museum objects; range from the early-modern era in Europe and pre-colonial Sephardic communities across the Americas, to present-day materials from around the world, including every known portrait of American Jews painted before 1865 ...

Last entry to the Center for Jewish History Exhibitions, Reading Room, and the Genealogy Institute is 30 minutes before closing. The last call to page items in the Reading Room and Genealogy Institute is 3pm.

Addressing diverse themes from all eras of Jewish history, our exhibits offer visitors the opportunity to encounter primary source material in the form of original artifacts that are embedded in insightful narratives that underscore the deep links between past and present.
