Oct 24, 2021 · Hello! Recently I've had some problems with my i5 9400f. I know that the i5 9400f is a turbo boost CPU (base speed 2,9 and boost 4,0) and it changes frequency depending on what task it is performing. Even when I don't have anything on my computer running my CPU is around 3,9 GHz.

i5 9400F Overheating. 01-02-2021 02:16 PM. Good evening to all community, I am facing some issues with my processor. Temperature on idle is at 40-60 °C (which as I already read is normal). Temperature under loading 35% and over processor is overheating to 95°C+, most of times is 100°C (screenshots attached). I tried every possible solution.

Jun 12, 2019 · Solution. #2. You don't. It is a locked processor. Only SKUs ending in K have an unlocked multiplier. You can get a little more out of a locked processor by forcing turbo on all the time and increasing the BCLK a little. That will require a Z class board, but it really isn't worth it.
